Zachary Miles

PhD Student

Zach received his B.S. in Applied Physics from Purdue University in 2025. He joined UT and Professor Johnson’s lab in Fall 2025. His research interests include real-time control of power electronics using neural networks, motor drives, and how policy affects the science & technology landscape. While at Purdue, Zach partook in a myriad of experiences: from experimental quantum computing to health physics, even outreach and teaching. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his roommates, playing sports, and exploring Austin.
